StoneMor, the Trevose Cemetery/Funeral Home Operator, has partnered with an offshore provider of an app designed to help grieving families.

StoneMor, Inc., headquartered in Trevose, has entered a partnership with Empathy, a Tel Aviv tech solution provider.

StoneMor is a leading owner-operator of cemeteries and funeral homes in the U.S. Its new collaborator, Empathy, provides an app that helps users navigate the logistical details associated with a loved one’s loss.

Through their business arrangement, StoneMor clients can access the Empathy app.

The company cites statistics that demonstrate the daunting tasks the death of a loved one creates. After a loved one passes away, a family will average 500 hours navigating a will, administering an estate, claiming benefits, clearing out properties, and cancelling accounts.

The tech functionality is augmented by human support via live chat. This resource is available anytime users find themselves in need of a sympathetic ear.

“Our goal is to constantly seek out new ways to enhance the services we provide to families in need,” said Joe Redling, StoneMor CEO. “This is an opportunity to leverage a new technology platform that will extend our support and expand our services long after a family’s initial loss.”
