TMA Bucks is working with PennDOT this summer on a survey to help gather important information from Bucks County commuters who drive Interstate-95 (I-95).

As commuters prepare for the gradual restoration of “normal activity” following the COVID-19 pandemic, TMA Bucks is working to get ahead of the curve. The advocacy group, along with PennDOT and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, seeks input on morning and evening rush-hour driving for Bucks County employees on the daily trek up or down I-95.

It is collecting feedback in an anonymous survey. The 11 questions — which should take only moments to complete — center on municipalities of origin, frequency of I-95 travel, telecommuting status (both now and in the future), and commuting options (driving solo, carpooling, Regional Rail, etc.).

“The survey will enable us to collect useful information on residents’ commuting habits that will help PennDOT plan future construction and outreach activities related to I-95 reconstruction,” explained TMA Bucks executive director Stephen Noll.

TMA Bucks is leading this initiative under a contract with PennDOT. The formal arrangement requires that it perform certain marketing and surveying activities in Bucks County. It releases surveys such as this one, as needed, during ongoing (and years-long) work to reconstruct I-95 for its entire length within the City of Philadelphia.
