After streaming live shows played at an empty venue during the pandemic, the freshly renovated Ardmore Music Hall is excited to welcome music fans again as soon as it gets the green light to fully reopen, writes Michael Bradley for Main Line Today.

And while he is unsure when this will happen, AMH co-owner Chris Perella hopes this day will come sooner than expected.

“I could see this fall being a real comeback for socialization and events,” he said. “People will want to gather.”

The venue’s front looks a bit different after the renovation. There is a lighted marquee and the box office is now in the street to give it a more authentic theater feel.

Inside, the downstairs bar has been cut in half to make room for more fans, increasing the capacity to around 600.

Meanwhile the stage has been lifted eight inches to give patrons better sight lines and also made deeper to give the musicians more room. Additionally the pre-show area has moved to above the stage.

AMH’s balcony seating has also been adjusted to give fans a better view of the stage.
