Bristol manufacturer Gentell Corporation makes various dressings, gels and cleaners used for wound care. It has opened a distribution center in Boca Raton, Florida, reports John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal

The location gives Gentell a decided, strategic, geographic advantage. It has close proximity a number of nursing home and other senior-care facilities throughout Florida and the south.

“Our goal is to deliver wound care supplies quickly and efficiently so that nursing home residents can get the treatments they need without any delays,” said David Navazio, Gentell’s president.

Navazio said his company specializes in working with nursing homes. Its product line reflects knowledge gained from training nursing-home staff on recognizing and treating various types of wounds.

The new Boca Raton site joins the company’s other distribution centers in Chicago, Las Vegas and Bristol. The Florida center will serve patients in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Mississippi.

The new site will trim up to three days’ time in supplying products to nursing home residents in those states.

Gentell may be eyeing a fifth distribution center for Dallas.

More detail on this market expansion is in The Philadelphia Business Journal
