Hundreds of Treasures, Sourced from Local Estates and Collections, Go Up for Internet Bidding Today

Stephenson’s Auction, Southhampton, is holding its popular Spring Decorative Arts Auction today, April 9, providing local collectors with the opportunity to bid on exquisite treasures across its 451 lots, announces Artsfix Daily.
Absentee and Internet bidding is available exclusively through LiveAuctioneers.
Items include:
- Fine and decorative artÂ
- Tiffany and other American silverÂ
- An outstanding selection of jewelryÂ
- More than 120 lots of furniture, including coveted Midcentury Modern productionsÂ
The Fine Art category is highlighted by paintings from scientific artist-illustrator Davis Meltzer. Meltzer, a Huntington Valley native who went to school in Newtown, painted covers for dozens of sci-fi books, worked for NASA and designed stamps for the U.S. Postal System.
For those with a taste for cheesecake (at least when it comes to photography), a set of Marilyn Monroe pictorial calendars from the 1940s-1950s is up for bid.
And car enthusiasts will be interested in the 1914 Studebaker coupe. It was garage kept, preserving its original condition down to the spoked wheels.
For more information on (and pictures of) the available items, see the catalog at Stephenson’s Auction.
