Alvernia University is a private Franciscan Catholic university in Reading, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1958 by the Bernardine Sisters of St. Francis and gained university status in 2008.
It offers over fifty undergraduate majors and graduate degrees in business, health sciences, education, and liberal arts.
