After a 10-Year Journey, Plumsteadville Teen to Compete on American Ninja Warrior Season 18

Nick Warren competes at the 2023 World Ninja Finals. The Central Bucks East teen will take his skills to a national television audience when he appears on American Ninja Warrior Season 18 this July.

It started with a birthday party. Now, Plumsteadville teen Nick Warren is headed to national television, writes Michele Haddon for Bucks County Courier Times.

Warren, a rising junior at Central Bucks East High School, is set to compete on Season 18 of American Ninja Warrior. The appearance marks the culmination of a decade-long obsession that took root when he was just 6 years old.

Warren’s path to the course traces back to a birthday party at The Gravity Forge Ninja Training Center in Hatboro. He was hooked instantly, and barely waited two weeks before turning that spark into a daily habit.

“I became a fan right away. And not even two weeks later, I started going to the ninja gym almost every single day,” Warren said.

His dedication started then and never stopped. Warren now logs 10 to 12 hours of training per week and has competed in World Ninja League events for the past 10 years.

The Ninja gym isn’t Warren’s only arena. He also competes on Central Bucks East’s varsity football team and competes in rugby with the Doylestown Dragons U16 boys’ team.

This season also brings a fresh format to the competition: a three-lane racecourse, new regional qualifiers and finals, and an all-racing National Finals with a $250,000 prize on the line.

Warren’s debut is set for one of the regional qualifier episodes airing in July on NBC. For a Plumsteadville kid who ran to the ninja gym the moment he discovered it, the national stage has been a long time coming.
