Bucks County School Districts Rank Among Pennsylvania’s Best in 2026 Standardized Test Scores

New Hope-Solebury High School led Bucks County's strong showing in Pennsylvania's 2026 school district rankings, landing at No. 16 statewide.

Bucks County’s public schools are holding their own among Pennsylvania’s best—and in some cases, climbing the ranks, write Ethan Lott and Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Several county districts landed in the state’s top 50 for 2026 standardized test scores, according to rankings compiled by Pittsburgh Business Times.

The list draws on three years of Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) results in math, English, and science, plus Keystone Exam scores in algebra, biology, and literature, giving a fuller picture of academic performance than any single test year can offer.

New Hope-Solebury School District led Bucks County’s showing, earning the 16th spot statewide. Council Rock followed at No. 37, gaining three positions from the prior year, while Central Bucks landed at No. 38.

Pennsbury School District rounded out the county’s presence in the top 100 at No. 83.

Taken together, the rankings underscore a pattern that’s hard to ignore: Bucks County districts regularly outpace Pennsylvania averages in both standardized test proficiency and college-readiness measures.

The county doesn’t stand alone in the region’s strong showing. Ten Philadelphia-area districts cracked the statewide top 25, with neighboring Montgomery and Delaware Counties putting up their own impressive numbers.

Lower Merion School District climbed to second place after finishing third last year, while Radnor Township School District held firm at fourth for the third consecutive year.

For Bucks County, the results reinforce a well-earned reputation—and suggest that reputation isn’t standing still.
