Foyer Hospitality, the owners of Michelin-recognized Hotel Anna & Bel in Fishtown, have partnered to acquire New Hope Lodge for more than $3.8 million in late January, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
New Hope Lodge Partners LLC, the entity behind the partnership, is linked to Andrew Benioff, founder and managing partner of Llenrock Realty Partners, a boutique hospitality development firm. He also founded and chairs both the Philadelphia Real Estate Council and the Independent Lodging Congress.
Benioff wrote in a LinkedIn post earlier this month that he and Foyer are teaming up with an “amazing brand” to create “something really special” at the property, without offering further specifics.
Perfectly situated just a mile from New Hope’s busy Main Street, New Hope Lodge includes 28 rooms, which are spread across five cabin-style buildings painted in a variety of vibrant colors.
Originally built in the 1950s as the Motel in the Woods, the 4.2-acre property also features an outdoor pool and The Cub Room, a restaurant and bar designed for the LGBTQ+ community.
According to Foyer Hospitality’s director of brand, Galli Arbel, The Cub Room will remain open during the renovations.
