Philly Extends Bar Hours for Summer Events. Here’s Where to Watch in Bucks County

Governor Shapiro signed a bill to extend Philadelphia bar hours to 4 AM between June 11 and July 20 for the major upcoming summer events.

With several major sporting events and semiquincentennial celebrations coming up this summer, Governor Josh Shapiro signed a bill to allow Philadelphia bars to extend their hours, writes Lacey Latch for the Bucks County Courier Times

“We’re ready to welcome tourists and fans from across the world this summer — and extending hours for the World Cup and America250 means more business for our bars, more pay for our workers, and more opportunity to come together and celebrate,” said Shapiro in a post on X.

The bill, which allows Philly bars to remain open until 4 AM from June 11 to July 20, only applies to the city, leaving surrounding counties unaffected.

For those who want to celebrate but don’t want to drive into the city, there are several local spots to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the MLB All-Star Game in Bucks County.

Villa Capri Sports Bar & Pizzeria in Doylestown is one of the country’s top soccer bars, making it a great spot to watch the games.

New Hope’s Birds Nest Bar & GrilleMaGerk’s Pub & Grill in Langhorne, and Newtown’s Green Parrot Restaurant Pub & Patio offer delicious food and high-energy atmospheres perfect for any game day.
