Newtown’s Blue Point Grill is kicking off the spring season with the freshest seafood in the area and a new 60-seat patio outside, writes Jeff Werner for Patch.
The grill offers 12 to 14 varieties of fresh fish to its diners every night, thanks to its 100 suppliers along the East Coast.
Jack Morrison is the owner of Blue Point Grill, with locations in Newtown and Princeton, as well as the Nassau Street Seafood & Produce Company in Princeton. His dedication to sourcing and serving the best seafood is what has given the business so much success.
“At Blue Point Grill, we believe in keeping things fresh, simple, and delicious. Every dish is crafted to highlight the true taste of the sea – that’s the Blue Point Grill experience,” said Steve Murray, Blue Point’s general manager.
The menu rotates every day, featuring dishes like Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes and New England Clam Chowder.
“Everything is fresh, hand-cut, portioned on site, and delivered to your table. Our menus feature anything available to us,” said Murray. “Every time you come in here, the menu is going to be a little different.”
The restaurant’s raw bar and oysters are crowd favorites. Around 3,000 oysters are sold each week, with an array of options to choose from.
