Wallace & Davis Enchanted English Tea Room is a cute and cozy spot at Lahaska’s Hollyberry Square shopping center that serves sweet beverages and a delicious menu, reports Sheila Watko for NBC10 Philadelphia.
The shop is owned by Andréa Schlegel-Wallace, a self-proclaimed Anglophile and lover of all things English.
“We wanted to create something that would give lasting memories to our local community,” she said about the tea room.
The idea for the tea room came from Schlegel-Wallace’s mother, who dreamed of opening her own shop.
Schlegel-Wallace’s children’s last names are Wallace and Davis, but the name also pays homage to the iconic “White Christmas” characters.
There are two tea services, offered on Saturdays and Sundays, for guests to enjoy, and reservations are required.
Along with an array of tea options, customers can also peruse their rotating menu for scones, cupcakes, mini quiches, tea sandwiches, and more, all made in-house. Guests can expect hearty portions that will leave them feeling satisfied.
Wallace & Davis hosts special events year-round, from bachelorette and birthday parties to holiday celebrations.
Children are invited to attend Sweet Pea’s All Ages Tea Party, named after Schlegel-Wallace’s little Yorkie, and can “adopt” a Yorkie stuffed animal for themselves.
