The Birches at New Hope is a recently opened senior living complex that also offers special memory care units, writes Lacey Latch for the Bucks County Courier Times.
The three-story building spans 98,000 square feet and features 93 modern apartments, with 62 personal care units and 31 memory care units.
For those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, the memory care portion of the building offers specialized programs and services to provide support.
“The mission is to meet the needs of the residents to create a new home,” said Matt Hayden, one of the project’s general partners.
“A building doesn’t mean anything until you fill it up with the people who need it and the people who are going to care for those people,” he continued.
Residents have access to chef-prepared meals and activities, along with support from the on-site staff members.
The first floor includes a crafts room, dining room, gathering spaces, and a salon. Physical therapists are also available to assist residents in the Fox Rehabilitation location in the building.
The New Hope senior living complex is Heritage Senior Living’s latest residential community in the state, with a sister site located in Newtown.
