Central Bucks High School West graduate and Doylestown native Justin Outten is attending his second Super Bowl, writes Tom Moore for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Outten’s previous appearance was in 2017 with the Atlanta Falcons as an offensive intern during Super Bowl LI, which ended with a loss to the New England Patriots.
Now, he’s back as the Seattle Seahawks’ run game specialist and assistant offensive line coach for Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California.
“No matter your role, you feel like you’re a piece of the puzzle,” said Outten. “You try to do your job as well as possible.”
Outten’s job entails a lot of prep, determining the best plays to run, ensuring a strong offense, and adhering to what’s working best.
Following his internship, he joined the Falcons full-time as an offensive assistant from 2017–18, before moving to the Green Bay Packers from 2019–21 as a tight ends coach.
During his first two years with the Packers, Outten worked alongside defensive coordinator Mike Pettine, a fellow CB West graduate.
“It’s going to be an emotional game either way with a lot of excitement,” Outten said. “The least anxiety I’ll have all week is on game day.”
