African American Museum of Bucks County to Host Fundraising Event

The African American Museum of Bucks County is opening next year, and a special fundraising event will be held on Dec. 11 at Parx Casino.

The African American Museum of Bucks County will be opening its doors at Boone Farm in Middletown Township’s Core Creek Park in early 2026, writes Dino Ciliberti for Patch.

According to Patricia Mervine, author of “Boone Farm: Its People and Place in Middletown History,” there will be a soft opening to ensure things are running smoothly before the official opening.

“I can promise you—this museum will be worth the wait,” she said. “I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how important this museum will be as a center of local history that isn’t fully told anywhere else in the county.”

Parx Casino is partnering with the museum for a special fundraiser event on Dec. 11 from 6 to 9 PM at the Parx Casino Racetrack Building in Bensalem.

The event’s theme is “Preserve the Legacy: Complete the Vision,” and will feature a sit-down dinner and special musical entertainment from singer Keith Spencer.

This will be the final fundraiser, and tickets are available on the museum’s website for $175.

“We are extremely grateful for the ongoing support of individuals, businesses, and the Bucks County Commissioners over the past four years and are eager to celebrate the near completion of the Museum with our friends and supporters,” said AAMBC President and Executive Director Linda Salley
