Nonprofit Supporting Musicians to Host Special Benefit Concert for Mental Health

The Gavin Effect, a nonprofit dedicated to helping musicians overcome financial barriers, is hosting a benefit just outside Bucks County.

A special all-ages (minors must come with a guardian) benefit concert organized by The Gavin Effect, a recently formed nonprofit, will be held at Crooked Eye Brewery just outside of Bucks County, in Hatboro at 13 East Montgomery Ave.

The “Strums of Hope” concert, raising awareness about mental health and supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), will take place on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 3-10 PM.

The benefit will feature performances from Jay Skull, Horses on the Highway, Monstera, The Breaks, and Towers (Kiavalya).

An open mic will begin after the performances, with instruments available for those who’d like to perform.

All donations from the event will go to the AFSP.

Crooked Eye will also donate five percent of all bar sales to the AFSP, and additional food will be available for purchase throughout the event.

The nonprofit was created in honor of Gavin Caban, a brother, a son, a friend, and a talented recording artist.

He dreamed of helping musicians overcome financial barriers and gain access to the resources needed to help bring their music to life.

The Gavin Effect covers and subsidizes the costs that come with making music to support artists.

Whether it’s studio recording time, mixing and mastering, or branding elements like photography, music videos, visuals, and independent distribution, The Gavin Effect is ready to help.

Attendees will be able to meet members of the nonprofit at a table in the bar.
