Those who enjoy a trip to the flea market can explore New Hope’s Rice’s Market, with 30 acres of hidden treasures, vintage items, furniture, food and more, writes Claire Allard for Family Destinations Guide.
For decades, Rice’s Market has been attracting locals and individuals across the Mid-Atlantic with its hundreds of vendors and their exciting offerings.
The market is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7 AM to 1 PM, though visitors have been known to begin arriving by 5 AM. For a more relaxed experience, locals are recommended to visit on Tuesdays, as weekends are typically bustling with shoppers.
Begin your shopping experience by grabbing a fresh breakfast from one of the many stands. With breakfast sandwiches, coffee, cinnamon buns, homemade pretzels and other baked goods, there’s lots to choose from.
The produce offerings change with the seasons, with options like sweet corn, heirloom tomatoes and apple varieties.
Walking around the market, you’re likely to see sports memorabilia, comic books, vinyl records, clothing, soaps, vintage advertisfing signs and jewelry.
There are also entire sections dedicated to furniture, with cabinets, tables, chairs and more unique pieces available.
Visitors can’t miss the garden section, with all varieties of plants up for sale, as well as garden-related merchandise.
