King of Prussia Mall has officially rolled out the red carpet for Netflix House, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The streaming giant’s first permanent immersive experience anywhere in the U.S. has officially arrived in King of Prussia. The new attraction transforms over 120,000 square feet of the former Lord & Taylor space into a fan-fueled playground of themed food, games, and live entertainment.
Netflix Vice President and Lancaster native Greg Lombardo grew up visiting the mall. He said returning for the project’s launch was a full-circle moment. “I was struck by just how vital the mall not only is, but how much it’s grown when it came on our radar,” he said.
Visitors can explore immersive worlds inspired by hit series like Wednesday and One Piece. They can play virtual reality games from Stranger Things and Squid Game, or grab a bite at the themed Netflix Bites restaurant. The space will also feature the Tudum Theater for screenings and live fan events.
Netflix House should draw thousands of visitors on peak days and employ more than 300 people. This adds another experiential anchor to one of Montgomery County’s top destinations.
