Doylestown’s Main Street Sports & Social is expanding their cocktail bar and lounge, Main Sip, with a new rooftop space, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Located on the third floor of the Main Street Marketplace, the new outdoor area will be constructed over the building’s back half.
The additional 2,700 square feet will feature a covered bar, lounge seating, two private cabanas and two new restrooms.
To ensure guests will be able to enjoy the space year-round, fans and heaters will be installed.
Construction began this week and is anticipated to be finished early next year, according to owner Will Wister.
The venue opened in 2023 as an indoor golf lounge, eventually adding mini golf, duckpin bowling and a cocktail bar.
The new outdoor space will round out the entertainment facility, offering a fun experience for customers.
“It’s the final piece of the puzzle,” said Wister. “We had great partners with the building owners and the borough to be able to expand and so were able to lean into our imagination of where this could go.”
“This sophisticated addition marks a bold step forward in redefining downtown Doylestown’s entertainment scene,” he added.
