Full-Time Housekeeper

Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Housekeeping Associate to join its team. This position is responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry functions throughout the community. 

This is a full-time position, scheduled for 37.5 hours per week. Availability to work every other weekend and on holidays is required.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Housekeeper:

  • Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
  • Responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping and laundry functions to maintain an attractive, clean, and comfortable environment to meet the needs of residents.

Here are a few of the qualifications you need to have:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Three to six months of experience in a housekeeping or janitorial position preferred.

Many roles in the community may require that you be asked about your vaccination status. This could include MMR, chicken pox, hepatitis, flu, and COVID-19 vaccine status. Please note that all employees are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or apply for and receive an approved exemption, as a condition of employment.

Part-Time Registered Nurse

Freedom Village at Brandywine is hiring an RN to work part-time, every other weekend, 7 AM-3 PM, in its skilled nursing facility. The starting range for RN’s is $40/hr plus shift differential. **Actual salary may fall outside of the posted salary range as it is dependent on skills and experience.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency call lights inside the skilled nursing center.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medication and treatments to residents of our healthcare center.
  • Assist with the admission and discharge process.
  • Keep the physician and family aware of changes in the resident’s condition.
  • Make rounds with physicians and transcribe orders.
  • Assure continuity of services and care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Registered nurse with a current license in the community’s state.
  • 6 months of experience in geriatric nursing/ Long Term Care. 
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
  • Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Full-Time Scheduler

Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Scheduler to join its team.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Scheduler.

  1. Coordinates and schedules health center staff.
  2. Ensures adequate staffing coverage for the health center, manages call-outs, and maintains shift coverage to meet the mandatory requirements of the facility staffing ratios.
  3. Reviews time off requests submitted by staff, and communicates with staff in a timely manner regarding accommodations.
  4. Post employees’ schedules at a minimum on a bi-weekly basis.
  5. Communicates employee status changes to Human Resources as needed.
  6. Assists nurse management with administrative and clerical tasks.
  7. Tracks attendance for staff; informs management of employees who have excessive tardiness or absences.
  8. Updates timecards with applicable corrections and ensures timecard exception forms are completed in compliance.
  9. Approves the bi-weekly timecard process for payroll. 
  10. May be required to fill in for open C.NA shifts (if properly credentialed).

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with the residents and staff members at all times.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with UKG or other scheduling software is preferred.
  • CNA, Preferred.
  • Has CPR certification or receives CPR certification after hire.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, read maps efficiently, and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with the residents and staff members at all times.
  • Has excellent observation and communication skills.
  • Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling obligations- some weekend hours and evening hours.
  • Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
  • Has the ability to read, follow written instructions, and document services provided.
  • Must be proficient in using computers and have basic skills with computer platforms such as Word, Excel, and scheduling applications.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills.
  • Thrives in a team-oriented environment and works well with colleagues across functions.
