Phoenixville entrepreneur Julianne Gardner has a solution for baby bottle refusal with her unique invention, writes Nydia Han for 6abc.

Gardner invented Bottimals, an attachment for baby bottles designed to help newborns transition to bottle feeding. The attachment, called the Bottle-Lovey, uses a scented insertable pad to comfort the baby and help them drink easier.

Mothers can wear the insertable pad close to their chest to absorb the scent of their mammary glands. With the pad inserted close to the bottle, a mom’s scent is close to the baby, helping soothe the baby as they drink.

The stretchy, scrunchie-like attachment fits over most baby bottles and features a stuffed rabbit that doubles as a cute toy.

Many new families struggle with bottle refusal, where a newborn baby refuses to feed from a standard bottle. The Bottle-Lovey has received many positive reviews from parents, who have shared that the product helps with the stress of adjusting to bottle feeding.

Gardner holds a degree in biology and worked as a researcher for over a decade. She personally struggled with bottle refusal as a new mom, and she founded Bottimals to apply her research background to this widespread problem.

Gardner runs the business from her Phoenixville home, where she lives with her husband and two children. The Bottimals Bottle-Lovey sells for $29.99 online, and can also be found in over fifteen local stores and boutiques.
