Newtown Bank Partners with Comcast to Deliver Reliable Connectivity Across its Branches

The First National Bank & Trust Company of Newtown expands partnership with Comcast Business to deliver reliable connectivity across its branches.

The First National Bank & Trust Company of Newtown has expanded its partnership with Comcast Business to deliver reliable connectivity across all of its branches.

Comcast Business technology, featuring Ethernet Network Services and Dedicated Internet, connects all eleven branches to the main office. It facilitates real-time communication, encrypted transactions, and rapid data transfers supporting modern banking operations such as deposits, withdrawals, check imaging, and ATM transactions.

The First National Bank & Trust Company of Newtown has been a community staple for over 160 years and a trusted financial partner for residents and businesses.

Comcast Business is crucial in helping the bank scale its network infrastructure, most recently doubling branch bandwidth and adding redundant circuits to maintain network operation if the primary connection fails.

These enhancements will help ensure that Bucks County’s oldest and most established bank will be able to offer modern banking solutions.

“Today’s consumer sees a bank as a trusted partner that takes care of their money—not just a place to go,” said Brian Hughes, the bank’s Vice President of IT. “We pride ourselves in personal service, safety, and soundness that matches these expectations, and depend on Comcast Business as the infrastructure so we can make this a reality.”
