Doylestown Historical Society Screening New Documentary at County Theater This Weekend

The Doylestown Historical Society and Doylestown Fire Company are partnering for an event this weekend where a new documentary will be screened.

The Doylestown Historical Society will be screening its new documentary on the Doylestown Fire Company at a fundraising event at the County Theater on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 1 PM, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

The documentary, titled “Doylestown Fire Company: No Longer a Bucket Brigade,” is the latest film from the society’s historical video series.

The film explores the history of the fire company and includes an interview with five of its current members.

Topics include the evolution of equipment, firefighter training and stories from present members. The documentary also features a discussion with the company’s first female firefighter.

Representatives from both the fire company and the society will introduce the documentary and lead a Q&A after the screening.

The film’s duration is approximately one hour.

Those interested can purchase tickets on the theater’s website. General admission tickets are $11.50 and members of the theater only have to pay $8. Fifty percent of the funds from the sales will go toward both organizations.
