In June 2026, after 12 years with the Bucks County Playhouse, Producing Director Alexander Fraser will be stepping down from his role, writes staff for the Lower Bucks Times.
Fraser joined the New Hope production company in 2014, having previously worked as a producer for shows on and off Broadway. Producers Robyn Goodman and Josh Fiedler joined him, and the three worked hard to revive the theater.
Now, the trio will be saying farewell and moving on to different career paths in the theater industry.
Since Fraser arrived, the theater’s annual operating budget has risen from $2 million to $12.1 million. Average audience capacity also grew, increasing from 34 percent to 64 percent, with productions bringing in over 100,000 visitors to the theater annually.
The success of the organization has also made a lasting impact on the community. Millions of dollars in investments have been devoted to New Hope’s restaurants and hotels.
“I’ve seen New Hope change a lot over my last 27 years as mayor… but nothing like what’s happened since Alex came to town: front and center in this community, bringing a vision of what we could be, along with a big sense of humor,” said New Hope Mayor Larry Keller.
