This Delaware County High School Named Among Nation’s Best

A Delaware County high school has made it on to a list of the top 500 public high schools in the nation.

A Delaware County high school has placed among the top 500 high schools in the nation, as determined by U.S. News & World Report.

Radnor High School placed 379th in the nation, according to the “Best High Schools” ranking, writes Joe Brandt for CBS News Philadelphia.

In 2016, U.S. News & World Report named Radnor High School among the top four percent of public high schools in America.

In July, Niche declared Radnor High School 18th in its top 25 list of best high schools in the Philadelphia Metro area.  It consistently ranked the school among the top four best public high schools in Pennsylvania between 2024 and 2018.

In 2024, U.S. News &  World Report listed Radnor High School as 6th in Pennsylvania.

The U.S. News’ annual rankings of public high schools and charter schools are based on graduate rates, student performance on state assessment tests, and AP and IB exams.

Most of the schools in the top 25 percent were in the suburbs. Of the top performers, 29.2 percent were in cities, 44  percent were in the suburbs, and 26.8 percent were in rural areas or towns far from urban areas.
