Fairless Hills Swimming Pool Closed Indefinitely Due to Leak Issue

The Oxford Valley swimming pool in Fairless Hills will remain closed as the source of a leak is determined.

Fairless Hills’ Oxford Valley swimming pool remains closed, writes JD Mullane for the Bucks County Courier Times, but Parks and Recreation is working with the General Services team in hopes of reopening it this summer.

The Bucks County-owned pool was leaking water. County spokesperson Jim O’Malley stated that he believes the leak is coming from somewhere in the piping.

Officials have not yet indicated when the pool will open.

“It did not reopen this season,” said O’Malley. “The leak was identified when the pool was being prepared for opening day.”

Those who purchased memberships can check their emails for information on how to receive a full refund.

In the meantime, Tohickon Valley pool in Point Pleasant is honoring memberships from the Oxford Valley pool.

The Oxford Valley swimming pool typically has around 400 season members, with memberships between $60 and $180. Daily passes typically cost between $7 and $20.

The pool, built in the 1950s, is one of the two largest stainless-steel pools in the country.
