Is Doylestown Native Pink Performing at the Eagles Season Opener This Year?

Rumors have recently spread that Doylestown’s Pink will be performing at the Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys season opener next week, Sept. 4.

Word recently spread that Doylestown native Pink will be performing at the Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys season opener on Sept. 4, leading the artist to address the rumor online, writes JD Mullane for the Bucks County Courier Times.

Pink posted on Instagram, saying that she’d heard from family members about her performing in a halftime show at Lincoln Financial Field.

“I do not have a song called ‘Gorilla.’ I wish I did, I’m so curious,” said the singer. “I am not singing for football games … or football fans at a football game. It’s not happening. These are all fake stories.”

It seems that the rumor initially began on an Eagles fan blog in a post from Aug. 22. The Facebook fan page, “Fly Eagles Fly” soon shared the story on their platform.

“If you don’t hear it from my big mouth it ain’t true,” she said.

Pink performed at Super Bowl LII, singing the national anthem before the Eagles won against the New England Patriots.

Alecia Moore, better known as Pink, was raised in Bucks County and attended Central Bucks schools for both middle and high school.

Though she isn’t performing for the Eagles this year, her love for her hometown remains strong.
