After months of waiting, the Newtown Wawa at 91 Lower Silver Lake Road is celebrating its grand opening on Thursday, July 31, with associates, customers and the community.
The event will start at 7:45 AM with a countdown by Wawa General Manager Robert Kelly. The doors will officially open at 8 AM, and the first 100 customers will receive free t-shirts while supplies last.
Customers will also be able to enjoy free hot coffee of any size from July 31 to Aug. 3.
At 8:30 AM, those in attendance can participate in a ceremony to celebrate the store and the impact its associates will have on the Newtown community. It will begin with a parade featuring Wawa associates.
The parade will mark the return of the $5 Big Breakfast Deal. The deal includes any Sizzli breakfast sandwich, any size iced or hot coffee, and a hash brown.
The parade will end with the Hoagies for Heroes hoagie building competition between first responders. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will conclude the event.
Director of Store Operations Jim Magee and Wawa Area Manager Maxi Blair will also be in attendance, along with Wally Goose.
