Gwynedd Mercy University has added the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Scholars Program to its growing list of partnerships with leading healthcare organizations that offer GMercyU students loan repayments and immediate job placement upon graduation.

GMercyU Nursing students who apply and are selected for the LVHN Scholars Program will receive up to $40,000 in student loan payments once they graduate from GMercyU, secure licensure, and begin a three-year, full-time work commitment at LVHN. Similarly, Respiratory Care graduates will receive up to $30,000 in loan repayments for the same commitment. The program also includes new graduate support for the new RNs and RTs.

The LVHN Scholars Program is one of several partnerships for Nursing students and the first to include Respiratory Care students.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Lehigh Valley Health Network to help meet the urgent need for the highly skilled, compassionate healthcare professionals GMercyU is known for preparing,” said Dr. Jane Tang, Dean of GMercyU’s Frances M. Maguire College of Nursing & Health Professions.

LVHN will repay the students’ loans on a monthly basis for as long as they remain employed full-time during the three-year commitment. Students who leave LVHN before the three-year period is up will be responsible for paying any remaining student loan balance but will not be required to repay any loan payments already made on their behalf.
