Willow Grove’s At Home Store Remains Open Amid National Bankruptcy

At Home's Willow Grove location will remain open amidst a wave of store closures following a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filing.

Willow Grove’s At Home location remains open amidst 26 locations set to close as the Texas-based home decor chain files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, reports Alexa Reed for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Located adjacent to the Willow Grove Mall, the store is a go-to destination for affordable home furnishings, seasonal decor, and organizational goods.

At Home Group Inc., which operates over 260 stores nationwide, announced the bankruptcy filing this week. The company said it has reached a deal with lenders to eliminate $2 billion in debt and secure $200 million in new funding. The plan, which still requires court approval, would transfer ownership of the company to its lenders, including major investment firms like Redwood Capital and Anchorage Capital.

While restructuring aims to give At Home long-term stability, CEO Brad Weston acknowledged that global tariffs and a volatile retail environment have created major challenges. “The steps we are taking today … will improve our ability to compete,” he said.

Other regional At Home stores include Media, Cherry Hill, and Turnersville.

Find out what At Home’s bankruptcy means for its Willow Grove location and nearby stores in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
