Former Saks COO Targets $100M in Sales at Philadelphia-Based Voomi Supply Next Year

R.J. Cilley, former COO of Saks Fifth Avenue, has joined Philadelphia-based Voomi Supply as its new CEO and aims to build the company into a billion-dollar business, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

While a jump from selling Prada, Cartier, and Gucci may not seem to have much in common with an industrial supplies retailer, Cilley is counting on his e-commerce background to lead Voomi Supply to $100 million in sales within the next year.

A Hershey native, Cilley spent time on Wall Street before joining Hudson’s Bay, owner of Saks Fifth Avenue until it was spun off last year, and was COO of Saks Fifth Avenue from 2021 to 2024.

He joined Voomi last July.

“We’re off to the races to really go and grow this thing and create a billion-dollar business here,” said Cilley.

In the last year, he quadrupled the number of full-time employees at the Philadelphia company, from around eight to 30.

“Our business this year has not quite tripled, but we’re getting close to that,” said Cilley. “We are really on a growth trajectory here to be one of the big, big players in this massive industry.”
