The horror comedy, Draculaw, filmed almost entirely in Bucks County, hit major streaming services this week. Pennsylvania native Scott Deschaine wrote and directed the movie.
The film was produced by Glow Film and is distributed by Nacelle/Comedy Dynamics.
Draculaw tells the story of a young lawyer, seeking redemption, who must confront the Counselor, a supernatural force of evil who uses the law to steal people’s lives. The lawyer must summon all his courage and legal skills to fight the Counselor and his band of monsters.
Blending horror, humor, action, and romance, Draculaw offers a wildly entertaining thrill ride.
The film features iconic Doylestown landmarks, including Fonthill Castle, the Mercer Museum, Doylestown Cemetery, and Lumberville’s Delaware River footbridge. The filmmakers shot the climactic courtroom scene in the historic Dauphin County Courthouse in Harrisburg.
This spirited legal satire monster movie has won 22 international film festival awards. Among the awards are Best Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Feature, Best Horror Comedy, Best Sound Design, and Best Soundtrack.
The film will be available to watch on Amazon, AppleTV, Google Play, Microsoft, Vimeo, and YouTube Movies & TV.
