If you seek to reconnect with nature while prioritizing much-needed self-care, Bucks County offers several wellness retreats designed to help you achieve both, write Laura Brzyski and Kristen Schott for the Philadelphia Magazine.
Honey Hollow Farm in New Hope is a National Historic Landmark nestled on 103 picturesque acres. The property features a beautifully preserved 18th-century stone house that can accommodate up to ten guests, making it an ideal setting for a private weekend retreat with friends, family, or small groups.
Guests can enjoy a range of enriching activities, including cider tasting in the rustic barn, where the cider is crafted from organic fruit harvested directly from the on-site orchard. During the week, co-owner Layla Broumand offers community classes on topics such as cooking and Ayurveda for perimenopause.
Still Rise Farms in Perkasie spans 40 acres and was founded by breast cancer surgeon Monique Gary as a healing sanctuary for cancer patients and individuals living with chronic illness. The farm’s programs center around the philosophy of food as medicine, offering hands-on cooking classes and horticulture workshops.
The public can also partake in various activities, like organic gardening workshops, farm-to-fork dinners, and nature-based fairs for youth.
