Village Improvement Association Applauds Doylestown Health’s New Affiliation With Penn Medicine

The Village Improvement Association congratulates Doylestown Health – which it founded over a century ago – on becoming part of Penn Medicine.

The Village Improvement Association has congratulated Doylestown Health – which it founded over a century ago – on joining Penn Medicine, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

“The women of the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown, founders of Doylestown Hospital back in 1923, are extremely proud to congratulate our Doylestown Health System on becoming part of Penn Medicine,” the organization stated.

VIA noted that the change will ensure more advanced care options are available close to home for local families.

“We will continue to support the hospital and its commitment to quality care,” said the organization.

VIA added that its own work will continue, “blending volunteerism, philanthropy, advocacy, education, outreach, and partnerships across the area.”

VIA will host the 49th Bucks County Designer House and Gardens, its largest annual fundraiser, in May. The following month, the organization will announce how it plans to continue its mission of improving the health and welfare of Central Bucks and neighboring communities.

“Our VIA mission will keep moving forward – just like the community we serve,” said VIA. “Just like we’ve done for the past 130 years.”
