A Doylestown volunteer group fed hundreds of hungry mouths this holiday season, according to TAPintoDoylestown.

The Village Improvement Association, one of the oldest volunteer groups in Doylestown, used donated money to deliver 250 holiday meals to Grundy Hall retirement home residents and other community members served by Doylestown Health.

The meals were prepared and packaged by the Pine Run Village Community dining staff.

The Village Improvement Association of Doylestown has deep roots in the town’s history, founding Doylestown Hospital in 1923.

The volunteer group still plays a governance role in Doylestown Health, according to TAPintoDoylestown article in October.

The meal delivery initiative was led by Doylestown Systems Transition Workgroup which was started in 2017.
