The Philadelphia metropolitan area ranked at No. 11 in the nation for artificial intelligence job openings in January, write Mike D’Onofrio and Alex Fitzpatrick for Axios.
This reflects the region’s rise as an emerging AI hub. The new technology is being implemented all around the city, including in schools and SEPTA buses, bringing these new jobs with it.
Greater Philadelphia had 378 job listings in the first month of the year that required AI skills, which is 2.15 percent of all AI job openings in the country’s top 75 metros.
The cities with the most AI job postings were New York with 1,995 and Seattle with 1,472.
The list was compiled using UMD-LinkUp AI Maps, a collaboration between the University of Maryland, LinkUp, and Outrigger Group.
