A 3,500-square-foot bi-level penthouse in Old City, owned by Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid, is back on the market with an almost 30 percent price drop, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The 101 Walnut St. unit is listed for $3.9 million. The property was originally priced at $5.5 million in December 2023, was reduced to $4.7 million four months later, and pulled from the market in October.
The penthouse covers the top two levels of the 12-story building and features a roughly 1,000-square-foot rooftop deck with a private pool and views of the Delaware River.
Embiid, whose ongoing knee injury will leave him off the court for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, acquired the unit in 2018 under a limited liability corporation for $3.2 million.
The three-bedroom, four-bathroom condo has since been fully renovated, including new high-end finishes, a floating staircase, and custom closets. Much of the interior is lined with floor-to-ceiling windows.
The unit is being offered fully furnished, which includes brand new furniture.
Interest in widespread across the nation, according to listing agent Andrea Desy Edrei with Serhant Pennsylvania.
