Holicong-based Bake Ability, a popular local bakery fostering an inclusive work environment for people with disabilities, is celebrating its anniversary this month by giving back to the community, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

Since first opening in 2021, Bake Ability has created meaningful job opportunities for disabled individuals while also serving high-quality, homemade treats. Over the last four years, the bakery has built a loyal following and made a significant impact on the community.

“Our journey has been incredibly rewarding,” said owner Paula Fasciano of Bake Ability. “We started with the vision of creating a welcoming space where everyone, regardless of ability, could thrive. Seeing our team members grow and our customers support our mission has been truly inspiring.”

To commemorate its fourth anniversary, the shop revamped its website, and is hosting in-store anniversary givebacks and giveaways through February 23.

For every cookie sold during the anniversary celebration, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Next Step Program’s Vision 2030 Campaign.

Customers who buy more than $25 of baked goods will get a reusable swag bag, while a community appreciation giveaway will award a t-shirt and a $25 gift certificate.
