Fans in Eagles gear lined up outside Dynasty Sports at Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne on Saturday, Feb. 22, to meet the team’s general manager, Howie Roseman, writes Ariel Simpson for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Roseman has become a cult personality in the Philadelphia region. He stated “I bleed for this city” during the Eagles parade, but it seems that the city is just as willing to bleed for him.
Eagles fan Genaro Borrero even said he’d “take a bullet for him.”
In his 25th season with the team, Roseman has been part of both Super Bowl title teams under different coaches and quarterbacks. Now, he is one of the rare — if not the only — general managers who can draw such a massive crowd.
Some fans even made custom gear for the event, such as Sean Watson, who created a Roseman jersey with a money sign instead of a number.
“I don’t think anyone else has one of these,” he said. “I think it’s a one-of-one. It’s a very unique jersey. I had the dollar sign made up because he’s the man of the cap. He’s the man behind everything.”
