Nearly 200 pizza shops were nominated in a National Pizza Day poll to determine Bucks County’s best, with two local favorites crowned clear winners, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.
The original nominees were narrowed down to the top 12, but A & G Pizzeria Locale in Feasterville and Mama Russo’s Pizzeria in Trevose received the most votes thanks to their delicious food, excellent service, and great value.
Gia and Edward Houmas opened A & G Pizzeria Locale in 2023. In around a year, they grew their business with strong customer support from the start.
“Without our customers, we wouldn’t be here,” said Gia.
She added that a key factor in their success is actively listening to customer feedback and keeping the space family-friendly.
Mama Russo’s Pizzeria is operated by brothers Vito and Phil Russo, which launched in 2020 at the space formerly occupied by their parents’ long-running pizza establishment, Chicco’s.
“My mom taught my dad, me, and my brother how to make pizzas,” said Phil. “What we make today is based off of her recipes.”
