After four years of offering fresh produce and local goods to residents and visitors, Warrington Farmers Market in Warrington will not return in 2025, marking the end of its role as a vibrant community gathering place, writes Lauren O’Neill for the Bucks County Herald.
According to founder Mariah Drenth-Cormick, the decision was made amid numerous challenges, including unpredictable weather, low turnout, and dwindling township support.
Founded in 2020 with the support of the Warrington Lions Club, the market aimed to raise funds for Lions Pride Park upkeep while fostering a sense of community in the township.
“Running a weekly market is no small task, and as a volunteer organization, it has become clear that this is not a sustainable endeavor for us,” said Kathy Beveridge, president of the Warrington Lions Club. “We are committed to finding alternative ways to support the continued maintenance of Lions Pride Park, and we appreciate the community’s understanding and support as we transition to new efforts.”
