The Philadelphia region is home to some of the wealthiest zip codes in the country, including two Bucks County towns, write Joanne Drilling and Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.  

The rankings were based on a weighted formula based on metrics such as home value, income, and population density.  

Richboro (577), Washington Crossing (599), Doylestown (794), Newtown (779), Furlong (853), and New Hope (860) all made the list as the top 1,000 wealthiest neighborhoods.  

The top 25 zip codes included neighborhoods in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and San Francisco. Philadelphia’s Middle City West neighborhood (19103) was no. 24, ranking as the wealthiest in the region.
