Feasterville woman Mariya Gomelskaya has sued Sig Sauer, alleging a defective gun design by the pistol manufacturer led to the death of her husband.

Mariya Gomelskaya has filed a lawsuit against Sig Sauer, alleging that a defective gun design by the pistol manufacturer led to the death of her husband, Roman Neshin, at their Feasterville home, writes Abraham Gutman for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Neshin was killed when a bullet unintentionally fired from his holstered gun.

The wrongful-death lawsuit comes after Sig Sauer was already hit with an $11 million verdict in an unintentional-discharge case.

According to the complaint, Neshin was in the basement of his home on October 1 when his holstered Sig Sauer P320 suddenly discharged. A bullet hit his groin, causing significant bleeding. He was found dead later that day.

The lawsuit is the latest by attorneys of Saltz Mongeluzzi & Bendesky, who have so far represented over 100 clients with similar claims.

The suit alleges that Sig Sauer was aware of the defect in its popular firearm but chose to continue marketing it as safe despite the known risks.

“Like many others, Mr. Neshin was lied to by SIG Sauer, and he paid the ultimate price for SIG Sauer’s lies and its defectively designed P320,” states the complaint.

The complaint also claims the P320 has no external safety to prevent unintended discharges.
