Doylestown has officially kicked off the holiday season with its 110th annual tree lighting, once again capturing the charm of a Norman Rockwell moment, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

On November 29, a 23-foot-tall Norwegian Spruce from Bountiful Acres took center stage as thousands gathered in the heart of town for this beloved event.

This year’s event was staged by Discover Doylestown, Simply Fresh, and the Borough of Doylestown and emceed by Richard Curtis.

Visitors were able to enjoy live seasonal music and a parade that ushered Santa into town. Once he made it to Main and State, Santa then lit up the tree.

In addition to Santa and Mrs. Claus, visitors got a chance to see Princess Anna and Elsa from Frozen, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and the Grinch.

Some of the many participants in the parade included Action Karate, State Street Dancers, Broken Arrow Ranch, Ambler Industries, Nook Nook Music School, Bountiful Acres, the Central Bucks West Marching Band, Bucks Bubbles, Engine 99, and Public Works of Doylestown Borough.
