Fonthill Castle in Doylestown is the perfect place to visit in the winter.

Two Bucks County towns found their spot among the ten most beautiful snow-covered small towns in Pennsylvania to visit this winter, writes Lauralyn Brown for The Travel.

Doylestown ranked in sixth place. One of the state’s most beautiful towns is practically a winter wonderland when covered in snow. It is known for holding many fall and winter festivals and offers much more with its historical and picturesque qualities.

Best activities this time of the year include Doylestown Winterfest, Tree Lighting Parade, Santa’s House, and Hanukkah in the borough.

Doylestown gets an average snowfall of 23 inches annually.

New Hope also made the list in ninth place. Nestled by the Delaware River, this lovely town is an ideal winter weekend getaway. It offers a warming nightlife and delicious foods and drinks, alongside a picturesque landscapes when it snows.

One of its main attractions is the New Hope Railroad, which transforms into Santa’s North Pole Express Train in the wintertime with hot cocoa, cookies, and a scenic train ride. Other great winter activities include Factory Girl Bakeshop and Mechanic Street Station.

The average snowfall annually is 22 inches.
