A $1 million home budget is much different in today's housing market compared to the past.

As home prices continue to rise across the Greater Philadelphia region, having a seven-digit budget isn’t getting you as far as it would in the past, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

In Philadelphia, homebuyers with $1 million can purchase a fairly new townhome or luxury condo in a prime location.

There is currently a 7-year-old, $1,000,000 townhome available on North Front Street just north of Elfreth’s Alley. In this neighborhood, homes date all the way back to the 1700s.

The four-story, 2,572-square-foot structure features three bedrooms and five bathrooms. It also includes an attached garage on the ground floor and a rooftop deck with views of the Ben Franklin Bridge and Delaware River.

The kitchen, which includes a wet bar and wine refrigerator, is housed on the second floor. There’s also open-concept dining and living areas sitting next to the kitchen.

With it being situated on the north side of Old City, the home is in close proximity to various shops and restaurants. It is also within walking distance of Northern Liberties and Center City.
