While in the theater world, ghost light refers to a single bulb left on a metal stand to illuminate the stage for restless spirits, the inn is more about hospitality than haunting.

The lovely boutique hotel is nestled in a space that was once the Playhouse Inn. The building has been fully renovated after being closed for years.

Eight of the 12 rooms have riverside views, and several have Juliet balconies. Stella, a modern American concept with 180-degree views of the river, does most of the in-house dining. The eatery also has a second-floor patio with wood-burning fireplace and pub-centric menu.

If you decide to visit during the Halloween season, you can go to the Bucks County Playhouse which will be showing The Rocky Horror Show from October 11 to November 3.

Additionally, through October 27, you can enjoy a display of over 100 scarecrows in Peddler’s Village in nearby Lahaska made by Philadelphia-area residents and organizations for the 45th annual Scarecrows in the Village Contest.
