Quakertown’s Sabrina Carpenter Gets Her First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200

Quakertown native Sabrina Carpenter hit a home run with her new Short n’ Sweet studio album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Quakertown native Sabrina Carpenter continues to dominate the charts with the release of her new studio album, Short n’ Sweet, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200, writes Keith Caulfield for Billboard.

The set marked the singer’s best week ever by earning 362,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. last week. Short n’ Sweet is also the year’s third-largest debut.

The album is Carpenter’s first top-ten charting effort. It was announced on June 3 and preceded by two top three-charting Billboard Hot 100 hit songs: Espresso, which hit No. 3, and Please Please Please, which topped the chart.

Carpenter had promotional help on social media ahead of the release of her album from some of her very famous friends. Taylor Swift shouted out for Carpenter in her Instagram story on August 23.

“Short. Sweet. Has made an extraordinary album… Go support our girl!” she wrote about her former Eras Tour mate.

Academy Award-nominated actor Barry Keoghan, Carpenter’s rumored boyfriend, also shared a link to buy the album in his Instagram story published on August 29.

Short n’ Sweet opened at the top of the Streaming Albums chart as well.
