Quakertown native Sabrina Carpenter shared insights into her evolving career and the inspiration behind the album, "Short n’ Sweet.

In a recent interview with Variety, singer-songwriter Quakertown native Sabrina Carpenter shared insights into her evolving career and the inspiration behind her upcoming album, “Short n’ Sweet,” writes Thania Garcia for Variety Magazine.

Carpenter, sipping a Yerba Mate while browsing a Los Angeles record store, reflected on her love for vintage aesthetics.

“I love the faces of the ’60s and ’90s — old Hollywood, flirty and fun,” she said, noting that this vibe influenced her album’s imagery and her forthcoming North American arena tour.

The success of her singles “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” which both topped the charts, has generated significant anticipation for her new album.

Carpenter revealed that finishing the album before the singles’ success allowed her to maintain creative integrity.

Reflecting on her journey, Carpenter, a former Disney star, emphasized the importance of authenticity in her music.

Her introspective album “Emails I Can’t Send” marked a turning point, offering raw and honest reflections on personal experiences.

Collaborators praise Carpenter’s work ethic and vision. “Sabrina’s instincts and creative vision are incredible,” said Island Records co-CEO Imran Majid.
