Bucks County is the Best Place to See Fall Foliage, According to New Analysis

Bucks County is the number one fall foliage destination in the United States for this year.

Bucks County is the number one fall foliage destination in the United States for 2024, writes Jess Rohan for Phillyburbs.

This is according to a new Priceline analysis of search data from potential leaf peepers.

The ranking provided ecological, cultural, and historical reasons why Bucks County is a great place.

One reason is the autumn-specific activities, “with millions visiting to experience autumn in the countryside, vibrant fall foliage, pumpkin and apple picking, riverside towns and picturesque covered bridges,” said Visit Bucks County board president Paul Bencivengo.

The Black Bass Hotel, next to the Delaware River in Lumberville, is one of the most popular fall wedding locations.

River House at Odette’s in New Hope is another go-to spot to enjoy fall foliage. Built along the riverfront, it has close proximity to historical and cultural sites and natural amenities like Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve.

Peddler’s Village has a variety of events on tap for the fall season, including scarecrow, pumpkin, and apple-related events.

Ryan Reed, of the state forestry bureau, said that while leaf-peeping season may be shorter this year due to the dry weather, he expects the colors to be vibrant.

For the past two years, Bucks County’s peak foliage has come in late October and is expected earlier this year.
